Buck is a mixed-media contemporary artist whose work reimagines the grit of the American West. With a bold visual language that fuses contemporary art with Western Americana, Buck bridges past and present to create narratives that feel both nostalgic and electric. His pieces often draw inspiration from vintage photos, old books, cowboy iconography, wild horses, and classic Americana, transforming familiar symbols into vibrant, modern artifacts. Buck’s work is held in private and corporate collections around the world.
Buck has shown with many pop artists and street artists such as Mr. Brainwash, Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Mars and many others in the LA art scene. After many years of doing pop and street art Buck returned to his roots and started painting the American West.
“I work in many layers weaving acrylic paint, collage, airbrush and digital painting like a tapestry. Sometimes I like to glue found objects to the canvas. I usually work on a series of 10-12 pieces at once. Most of my work is inspired by history books and vintage photos. I grew up without a tv in the house and immersed myself in books. I could read before I went to kindergarten. Still to this day most of my inspiration comes from old books. I love being surrounded by vintage Americana signs, ads, books, toys…. anything that represents the American West.” - Buck
